Book synopsis
Tommy and Tuppence Beresford, now elderly but still sharp-witted, set out on a dutiful visit to Tommy’s irascible Aunt Ada at Sunny Ridge nursing home. While Tuppence deals with the sharp tongue of a relative who refuses to recognize her, she encounters a community of eccentric residents, including a woman with a penchant for swallowing thimbles. However, the ordinary visit takes a chilling turn when a casual conversation with a resident hints at a dark secret hidden within the home's Victorian walls. What begins as a family obligation soon evolves into a unsettling mystery that proves the Beresfords' thirst for adventure hasn't aged a day.
