A quiet gem

The pacing is tight and the characters actually feel like people. No typos that I noticed, which is rare at this price.

Book synopsis
Hercule Poirot is hired by Violet Marsh, a self-made woman who has been challenged by her late uncle to find his true will within a year. Andrew Marsh, a wealthy farmer who despised 'book learning' for women, left his estate to charity unless his niece could prove her wits were superior to his own. Poirot and Hastings travel to the remote Crabtree Manor to unravel a series of clever misdirections, hidden cavities, and secret inks. In this classic battle of intellects, Poirot must determine if the old man’s final joke was a test of character or a genuine attempt to disinherit his only kin.
