Book synopsis
On an ordinary afternoon at Wilbraham Crescent, stenographer Sheila Webb is dispatched to the home of a blind woman for an appointment, only to discover a man's corpse surrounded by four clocks all set to the same peculiar time. Hercule Poirot is soon drawn into a case where time itself seems to be the primary clue. As Inspector Hardcastle investigates the residence of the calm and collected Millicent Pebmarsh, he finds a crime scene filled with impossible details and no clear motive.
